1 – Agent must have office with modern and professional facilities.

2 – Have clear Business License.

3 – Must be representative of many reputable overseas institutions ( with representative certificates)

4 – Certified and granted certificate of attendance Professional Agent Training by the embassies.

5 – Has a good staff of counsellors with self-confidence, professional and good understanding about the overseas institutions as well as the education system of the country they are counselling.

6 – Does not hurrily embroil students in any circumstances. You should stay away from those who counsel hurrily, guarantee for visa easily at first sight, and suggest you to take their service for imitation documents when you get troubes with your documents in order to try to push you into their service contract.

7 – Must have clear and explicit evidences of finance, basing on the agreement between agent and student’s family.
8 – Counselling procedures should include all of the following steps :

- Selecting 3 to 5 appropriate institutions for the student

3 – Agents must play a number of different roles : Education counsellor, to ensure clients select the appropriate course for their future goals; travel agents, arranging the flights and accommodation options; efficient administrator, to deal with school and visa application procedures; contact and translator between student and school; general adviser about life overseas and what to expect; and often, a friendly voice at the end of the phone or email once the students are overseas, such as :

- Agents should assist students during the time their studying and living overseas when they are still in need.

- Agents should report the students’ results to their parents (when they require)

- Agents should be present as soon as students get into troubles during the time they are overseas.

4 – Agents should provide students with accurate and update informations, ensuring students have a realistic expectation of what the school offers and what their study experience will be like.

5 – Agents must be able to answer all the students’ questions with empathy.

6 – In order to present a school accurately, agent must be fully versed in all the school has to offer. Visits not only enable the agent to get to know the schools, residences and locations so they can better explain them to their clients, but they can also help galvanise the school/agent partnership.

7 – Agent should have all the contact information of the school, school locations, programs and fees in detail, accommodation options and fees, student services, payment information including bank details and cacellation procedures, as well as travel information, money and weather.
